your child there.
This section is specifically related to clubs/rooms where children are left
for a period of time in a supervised environment with Hotel/Resort staff or
arcade and fun rooms.
- For Hotel Fun 4 Kids™ Destinations offer
Peanut Free Snacks - look for the symbol.
- Advise staff where you will be while your child is in the club and how
to contact you or a friend or relative if you are unavailable in the event
of any emergencies (Resorts/hotels with this kind of facility should
include this information on the child information sheet and this should be
updated each time a child is left in the club if necessary).
- While not always available, it is preferable that the club/kids room
have exclusive use of washroom facilities designed for children
- Before children are taken to a club, they should be
sunscreened if any
part of the club or activities are outside - see Sun Safety Tips
- Check staff ratios to children so that you feel
comfortable with supervision of children, suggested ratios
are for infants under 18 months - 3 Staff for every
10 infants, toddlers ages 18 to 30 months - 1 staff
for every 5 children, preschool ages 30 months
to 5 years - 1 staff for every 8 children, kindergarten ages
5 to 6 years - 1 staff for every 12 children, elementary
school age children - 1 staff for every 15
children.

notices for toys and products in children's club. See Safety tips for Buying Safe Toys and Using Toys Safely.
- Teach children not to chew crayons - See
Crayon Safety.
All tips are offered as suggestions
only. While we have tried to provide you with a list
of suggestions to help parents when travelling with
children to keep them safe, unfortunately, we can’t
think of everything and it is the responsibility of
