EAGLE RIDGE OPENS TO
FRESH POW AND TERRAIN PARK ON THE WAY!
Jasper, Alberta - Today marks the opening of Marmot Basin's
Eagle Ridge Quad chair. The state-of-the-art fixed grip Quad
allows access to 20 (yep, you heard right - twenty!) new
runs on two huge mountain faces.
Not only that, but the Quad is opening to excellent... well
actually - fantastic - early season conditions. With a total
snowfall of over 140 cm to date and the best early season
base in years (55 cm mid-mountain and 70+ cm at higher
elevations) everyone at Marmot is pumped and psyched about
all that pow!
As a testament to all the snow, Marmot's Knob chair is now
open. This is only the second time in its 25 year history
that the Knob has opened this early - why you ask? Simply
put - it's due to a tonne of snow! Marmot is boasting 85% of
it's terrain open and all main lifts, including the new
Eagle Ridge Quad Chair, operating.
AND... how about a terrain park in your stocking this year?!
Marmot will open it's terrain park just in time for the
holidays. Brian Rode, VP of Marketing and Sales states,
"Already Marmot's natural gullies, dips and rolls
create one big natural terrain park. The addition of our
dedicated park will offer rails, table tops and a variety of
other snow features." How's that for a Christmas gift?!
Another great gift idea for the whole family - Marmot is
pleased to announce it's new Family Snow Club Card. For only
$29.95 the card gives your family 20% off ALL your lift
tickets this season when skiing as a family. Your family
will also receive 10% off rentals & repair, food &
beverage, lessons, retail and day care, in addition to
discounts at various Jasper hotels. The big bonus: ski 5
days and receive the 6th day of lift tickets for the whole
family free! For more information or to purchase your Family
Snow Club Card contact Marmot Basin at 780-852-3816.
