 Six Flags Darien Lake,
located just outside of Buffalo, New York offers families
the ultimate in a resort destination by combining first
class accommodations with 1,500 acres of excitement. Six
Flags, well known for providing "America's Favorite
Thrills!" welcomed Darien Lake as a Six Flags Theme
Park in 1998, as part of over 20 other theme parks across
the United States that fly this brand. In
addition to transforming the theme park into a major
regional attraction, 1998 saw the opening of the Six Flags
Hotel - Lodge on the Lake, adding a new dimension to this
vacation destination.
 Park
goers could now enjoy the comforts of home as part of the
theme park experience. 163 family-sized rooms that
comfortably sleep six offer a relaxing place to stay and
extend your visit at the park. The Lodge is located
inside the Park gates and all accommodation packages include
park admission, free parking and continental
breakfast. Once inside the gates, Lodge
guests are free to enjoy all that Six Flags Darien Lake has
to offer. While check-in is not until 3:00 pm your
family can enjoy the Park once the gates open at 10:30 on
your day of arrival and until the gates close on your day of
departure. After a full day of thrills and
spills, riding the roller coasters and other attractions,
watching the live shows, or splashing in the wave pool or
Hook's Lagoon, your family is sure to enjoy taking a
leisurely stroll around the Lake back to your spacious room
that features two queen-sized beds, a convertible queen
sofa, four piece bathroom and television. At
the lodge, family members can relax by the glow of the
fireplace in the lobby and
read a paper or head for the heated outdoor pool/wading pool
for a nap on the lounge chairs. Towels are provided
poolside. On hot days a refreshing swim provides
a fun way to end the day. The
continental breakfast included with the accommodation
package is offered at the Beaver Brothers Lakeside Cafe
located in Darien Square. A buffet breakfast, lunch
and dinner are also served at the Cafe. Additional
amenities at the center include an arcade area with
miniature golf, gift shop, general store, and Trappers,
serving pizza, subs and ice-cream. Other
options for staying on-site at Six Flags Darien Lake include
two luxurious hotel suites and a campground where you can
rent a trailer or camp site as part of the 2000-site
campground facility. Families can also reserve a
campsite in the new "Family Camping Area". A
new on-line reservation system, introduced in 2001, allows
for convenient booking of on-site hotel rooms and campground
sites. Affordable two-night, three-day
packages are available all season long with special
discounts in the early and late season. Staying
on-site at Six Flags Darien Lake, whether it be at the Lodge
on the Lake or campground turns a visit to the theme park
