The Fairmont Royal York in Toronto partners with the Royal Ontario Museum to offer a Feathered Dinosaur Package available until September 7, 2005

The Fairmont Royal York is proud to be one of a few select Toronto hotels to partner with the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) for the eagerly anticipated Feathered Dinosaurs and the Origin of Flight exhibition. The Fairmont Royal York will offer a Feathered Dinosaurs Package that will allow guests a chance to enjoy priority access to the Feathered Dinosaurs and the Origin of Flight exhibition and to experience Toronto’s landmark hotel. The Feathered Dinosaurs Package is available at The Fairmont Royal York, located at 100 Front St. West, Toronto, beginning on March 10 through to September 7, 2005.

Partnering with this exhibition is most appropriate, as The Fairmont Royal York combines an exceptional cultural draw with luxurious downtown accommodation. The hotel also celebrates a long-standing partnership with one of Toronto’s icons, the Royal Ontario Museum. The ROM’s current exhibition Feathered Dinosaurs displays 34 original fossils, mostly dating to 125 million years ago, recently unearthed from the fossil beds in North Eastern China’s Liaoning Province. These new fossil discoveries reveal important information about these ancient creatures and the origins of feathers. Moreover, the recent findings address the relationship between dinosaurs and birds, raising such questions as the evolution of birds and feathers, and the use of feathers for flight. Visitors to the ROM will also enjoy The Bird Connection, an original ROM exhibition that delves further into the fascinating and surprising relationships between dinosaurs and birds, presented in a fun, family-friendly style.

The ROM is the sole Canadian venue to host the traveling exhibition, organized by The Dinosaur Museum (DM), Blanding, Utah and the Liaoning Fossil Administration Office, and the Beipiao City Paleontological Research Center, Liaoning, China.

The Feathered Dinosaurs Package is priced from $239 CAD/ approximately $198 USD per night, exclusive of taxes and is based on double occupancy. Package is valid from March 10 to September 7, 2005. The Feathered Dinosaurs Package is available seven days a week and includes:
