NOTTAWASAGA
INN
YEAR-ROUND EXCITEMENT UNDER THE DOME
If you are looking for a
family getaway that has something for everyone any time of
the year look to the Nottawasaga Inn in Alliston, Ontario,
just 45 minutes north of Toronto.
The Sports and Leisure
Dome, built in 1994, offers 70,000 square feet of
recreation facilities with activities for every member of
the family.
Kids can't keep their
excitement under wraps when the enter the Dome and see the
18 Hole Jungle Quest mini-golf.
At $4.50 per person its a
great value for 18 holes of jungle-themed adventure with
statues of various animals from the parrots and a
gorilla that greets you at hole 2. Use your putting
skills through the turtles and get squeezed by the giant
anaconda wrapped around the green. Kids are
thrilled to enter the temple and putt through the sarcophagi.
Take a peek into the mining cart at hole 8 where some gems
are stuck in the ore. Hole 11 features the alligator
family that leads you past the Ceremonial skulls (hole
12). Again animals complete the course with a tiger,
yawning hippo and the funny monkeys.
While you are being
challenged on the mini-golf course, your family will get
its first glimpse of 25 metre indoor pool with its 100
foot waterslide, rock waterfall, palm trees, beach and
rainforest murals that make this a tropical paradise for
all to enjoy.
The pool complex also features two storey windows
overlooking the Nottawasaga River, with a beach entrance
wading area, water umbrella, large whirlpool and
sauna. Towels are supplied at the entrance of the
Sports and Leisure Dome and a family change room offers
the convenience of parents both being able to help change
young children. Separate change rooms are also
available for older kids and adults.
Towards the end of the mini-golf course you'll have to
hold onto your excitement as you view the Grand Games
Room. A change machine is located at the desk and
once your family has finished putting - look out as the
kids race to see which game they will test their skills on
first. Everything from basketball, pinball,
arm-wrestling and numerous video games await those with
the enthusiasm to enjoy these machines. Air hockey
and pool tables offer some friendly family competition and
young children will enjoy taking a spin on one of the
coin-operated rides.
Teenagers and Adults may also like to take in a game of
indoor tennis located on the top floor or have a work out
in the fitness centre which includes 3 indoor
squash/racketball courts. 45 holes of great golf
will have golfers feeling they have gone to heaven.

Ridge, a demanding 18 hole course.
