KIDS HAVE FUN
AT THE MAUI MARRIOTT
KAANAPALI, Maui, Hawaii - Younger guests of the Maui
Marriott Resort and Ocean Club are invited to have fun with the
resort's Kaanapali Kids program.
Offered to children 5 to 12 years of age, this year-round
program takes kids on exciting outdoor adventures and allows them
to experience memorable Hawaiian activities, including arts &
crafts, lei making and hula lessons. The program is offered
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Mondays, kids board a trolley and take a ride to the Maui Ocean
Center where they learn about Hawaii's marine life. Wednesdays,
the keiki (children) enjoy a fun-filled day of Hawaiian arts
& crafts, such as making Hawaiian friendship bracelets from
raffia and creating sand art. Fridays, kids can look forward to an
unforgettable cruise on the "Reefdancer," a glass bottom
submarine boat.
"Kaanapali Kids is more than a child-caring service,"
said Mahealani Tabuya, supervisor of recreation at the resort.
"Children take part in culturally inspired programs that
teach them the value of the Islands and leave them with lasting
memories."
For $45 per child per day, parents give their children the
opportunity to experience the splendor of the Islands and the
Hawaiian culture. Lunch and transportation are included in the
fee. Reservations should be made by 7 p.m. the night before due to
limited space availability.
Adding to the fun at the Maui Marriott, the new 3.5-acre
"super pool" includes a waterslide and sandy beach with
shipwreck playground.
Located just steps away from the famed Kaanapali Beach, the
Maui Marriott also features exciting outdoor activities for
families, including snorkeling and scuba diving, as well as
ocean-coastline kayaking tours.
