LOEWS HOTELS MAKES FAMILY TRAVEL FUN AND
CONVENIENT
THROUGH ITS "LOEWS LOVES
KIDS" PROGRAM
NEW YORK, NY -- As
family travel continues to grow in popularity, Loews
Hotels features a chainwide children's program aimed at
making the experience easy, fun and convenient for both
parents and kids.
Through "Loews Loves Kids," guests can
take advantage of the following services and amenities at
each of the company's 15 hotels and resorts:
- Complimentary "Loews Loves Kids" gift bag
presented upon arrival for children under 10;
- A "Kids Kloset" offering items available
for guests to use during their stay. These include
games, books, car seats, strollers, night lights,
potty seats, baby bath tub, baby blankets, and outlet
protectors;
- Children's menus in the restaurant and through room
service, and availability of high chairs and booster
seats. Also, mini bars with juices, and other
child-friendly snacks.
- Children under 18 years of age stay free (when
sharing a room with their parents), and special
discount on second adjoining room;
- Complimentary use of cribs and roll-away beds, as
well as availability of children's sheets and
bathrobes for use in the room;
- Availability of child-proof kits for children under
four;
- Listing of nearby tourist attractions and activities
geared to children, as well as nearby pharmacies,
pediatricians and bonded babysitting services.
"In developing Loews Loves Kids, we wanted
to make sure that we not only offered the basic
necessities of traveling with children, but that we
created a program that included fun and entertaining
activities organized and supervised by child-care
professionals," noted Jonathan Tisch, President and
CEO of Loews Hotels. "We also wanted to make the
programs complementary to their destinations by maximizing
the facilities and surroundings at each property."
Variations of "Loews Loves Kids"
include specialized programs such as those offered at the
following Loews Hotels:
Loews Coronado Bay Resort (San Diego, CA)
-- Children ages 4-12 can enjoy an array of creative,
entertaining, and athletic programs that maximize the
resort's recreational facilities. Activities include a
"marshmallow roast," family cooking classes,
jazz, funk and hip-hop dance lessons, gymnastics, family
snorkeling, and "Dive-in Movies," where kids and
parents can enjoy a family movie from a lounge chair, or
in an innertube from the pool…hot dogs and popcorn are
also available.
Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel (Los Angeles,
CA) -- Taking full advantage of its beachfront
location, the hotel’s program, offered during the
summer, includes making t-shirts, puppets, and kites,
volleyball, treasure hunts in the pool, sandcastle
building contests, and relay races.
Loews Ventana Canyon Resort (Tucson, AZ)
-- Provides a playroom where children can partake in
activities such as nature walks, Southwestern arts and
crafts, and cooking classes.
Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel (Nashville, TN)
-- Through the hotel's "Kidstuff" program,
children can choose from a range of activities, such as a
"behind-the-scenes" tour, or excursions to
nearby sightseeing attractions.
Loews Miami Beach Hotel (Miami Beach, FL; Opening
November 1998) -- "Camp SoBe" will offer the
best of the beach and beyond for kids 3-12 with activities
such as scavenger hunts, shell hunting, beach olympics,
and poolside finger art. The fun and games will
incorporate surrounding Miami and the Beaches with
"visitors" from attractions such as Parrot
Jungle and Metrozoo.
Children's services and amenities are also offered at
the chain's other properties, including The Regency
Hotel and Loews New York in New York City;
Loews L'enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C.;
Loews Annapolis Hotel; Loews Giorgio Hotel
in Denver; Loews Le Concorde in Quebec
City; and Loews Hotel Vogue in Montreal.
