Hilton Vacation Station(R) Begins 11th Year With Great New Welcome Gift and Interactive Family Activities at More Than 60 Locations
 

With summer just around the corner, families are gearing up for everyone's favorite time of year -- vacation time. In its 11th year, Hilton Vacation Station(R) continues to provide an array of great offerings at more than 60 of the most desirable family-friendly destinations across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico.

From now through September 1, 2003, every family that stays at a participating Hilton Vacation Station hotel or resort will receive a welcome gift for each young guest in their party ages one to 12. This year, children will be treated to the Hilton Vacation Station Trip Taker Bag, a compact canvas carrier that can hold a portable CD player or electronic game and up to six CDs or DVDs, as well as an extra pocket for a book or coloring materials. The Trip Taker Bag is the perfect pack for all the goodies a child can carry for fun on the road.

"Summer vacations are not only the perfect chance for families to spend quality time together and enjoy one another's company, Hilton Vacation Station provides the perfect atmosphere for kids to experience new games and activities," said Joanie Flynn, vice president of leisure marketing for Hilton Hotels Corporation. One of the longest-running family travel programs available, Hilton Vacation Station is offered free of charge and is available in conjunction with all packages and accommodation types. Hilton Vacation Station also assists parents by offering destination-specific information about local happenings and attractions, removing the hassle of pre-planning.

Just in case the kids run through their books and CDs in a hurry, Hilton Vacation Station is one of the only hotel programs to provide free use of toys and games to kids and families during their hotel stay through its unique Toy Lending Desk.

The Toy Lending Desk includes a wide selection of age-appropriate toys and games for children (and adults) to borrow for hours of great family interaction and entertainment.

Unique supervised activities specifically designed to reflect the location and culture of where the hotel is situated are available at 13 Hilton Vacation Station locations in half, full-day, and at some locations, evening sessions. Fees and age qualifications vary by location. Multiple child discounts available at most locations.

Children age 18 and under stay free in the same room with their parents or grandparents at all U.S. Hilton properties (subject to room occupancy and local fire safety regulations). Outside the U.S., children's age qualification varies by location. Hilton Vacation Station is offered at no additional charge to guests traveling with children age 12 and under to participating hotels from now through the Labor Day Weekend.

The program also is available year-round at 13 hotels and resorts located in frequently visited family vacation destinations such as Florida, Arizona and California. Toys and games may vary by location; kids welcome gifts and parents' welcome information are available while supplies last.
