Spending quality time together as a family in Banff, Jasper or Lake Louise will be so much fun that instead of hearing ''are we there yet?'' from the kids, they'll be begging you not to leave!

From hiking to bowling, picnics to movie nights, mountains of adventure await families staying at The Fairmont Banff Springs weekend Family Castle Adventure Package. Upon arrival, travellers will be greeted with milk and cookies to help them settle in after their journey. Then, starting every Friday at 4:30 p.m., history comes alive with a hotel tour and a narrative about this famous hotel that was styled after a Scottish baronial castle more than a century ago. There are stories about famous guests, the mysterious hidden room, and the phantom bellhop. Recreational facilities include an indoor and an outdoor-heated swimming pool, paddleboards and water noodles. The four-lane bowling centre offers Canadian five-pin bowling, a darts and games room, music, and a snack bar. Families may also enjoy movie-and-pizza nights in the comfort of their own rooms.

The Family Castle Adventure Package starts at $399 Cdn ($332 US per night for a family of five with a minimum stay of two nights) and includes pizza and movie night, bowling, a gondola sightseeing adventure, and a hotel tour and welcome gift on arrival.

                Family togetherness takes on an entirely different meaning at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise after a soaring ride up the sightseeing gondola at the Lake Louise Ski Area. Even a simple stroll along Canada's world-famous lakeshore can instill lasting family memories, while the pizza, in-room movie, milk and cookies will satisfy the child within. Take a dip in the pool, warm up in the hot tub and sweat it out in the steam room at our fitness centre, or rent a canoe and paddle across the turquoise green waters of the world famous Lake Louise. The Family Chateau Adventure package includes deluxe accommodations for two adults and up to two children, a children's’ check-in gift, a family pass for the Lake Louise Gondola, in-room movie, a kid's pizza delivered by in-room dining, and ''Howl at the Moon,'' our western version of milk and cookies.  Available from mid-June to mid-September, rates start from $399 CAD per deluxe room, per day, and are subject to availability and do not include taxes. (Deluxe room-only is typically $719 per night)

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge invites families to gather together in the luxurious comfort of a private cabin by the lake, with unlimited bicycle and boat rentals, a historical hotel tour and a keepsake family photo. Additional activities such as a family cabin dinner, golf, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, massage and a Maligne Lake boat tour can be coordinated through a personal concierge at an additional charge. Prices for the Family Reunion Package range from $2,026 per night in the Whistler Cabin, based on four people to $8,104 per night in the Milligan Manor based on 16 people. A three-night stay is recommended.
