NEW UNIVERSAL EXPRESS NO LINE, NO WAIT, SYSTEM
MEANS
EVERYONE BEATS THE LINES AT UNIVERSAL ORLANDO
THEME PARKS
Revolutionary, No Line, No Wait Program Means No
Problem
For All Guests
There is no need to ever
wait in a lengthy theme park line again.
At Universal Orlando, the new Universal Express program means
that everyone who comes through the gates at the Universal Studios
or Islands of Adventure theme parks will have quick, easy access
to virtually all the destination's most popular rides and
attractions.
The program offers a whole new way for guests and their
families to enjoy theme parks. Regardless of the type of ticket
they hold, guests using the Universal Express program will be
whisked onto rides and attractions all day long, every day of the
year. That means there is no need to wait before enjoying such
blockbuster attractions as the Incredible Hulk Coaster at Islands
of Adventure or Men In Black Alien Attack at Universal Studios.
"This is a break-through for our guests. It's a remarkable
program that could forever change the way they experience theme
parks," said Fred Lounsberry, executive vice president of
Sales and Marketing for Universal Orlando.
The new Universal Express program officially debuts in March,
but has been phased in since mid-February. The current program
allowing multi-day ticket holders no line, no wait access during
the first two hours of park operation will remain in place until
then.
The new system comes just weeks after
Universal Orlando announced a program that allows resort guests -
those people staying at on-site Universal hotels - unprecedented,
all-day priority access to virtually all rides and attractions
simply by showing their hotel room key. That program is available
for guests staying at the Portofino Bay Hotel and the brand-new
Hard Rock Hotel and continues as part of the new Universal Express
System.
"We want to make the theme park
experience about enjoying rides and attractions -- not about
waiting on lines," said Lounsberry. "We have listened to
our guests and we have eliminated their number one concern about
visiting a theme park: long lines."
The new program works this way:
Universal Orlando on-site hotel guests will
continue to get preferred access to virtually every ride and
attraction at Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure simply by
showing their hotel room key at each ride.
Multi-Day ticket holders (those people
holding two-day or three-day tickets) can choose times and receive
express passes to experience up to three rides or attractions by
presenting their ticket at any Universal Express distribution
center located throughout both Universal Studios or Islands of
Adventure. They will choose one of two possible windows of time in
which they can return to experience each of the rides or
attractions they have selected. They simply show their Express
Pass at each attraction for no line, no wait access. They can get
another Express Pass after visiting all three attractions or after
all the chosen windows of time have passed.
Single-Day ticket holders can choose one of
two possible windows of times for a single ride or attraction, and
receive an express pass to experience that ride or attraction, by
presenting their ticket at any Universal Express distribution
center. They can get another Express Pass after visiting the
attraction, after the chosen window of time has passed, or after
two hours have passed.
Guests using the Universal Express Pass will
be directed to special Universal Express queue entrances, where
they will experience virtually no wait (anticipated maximum wait
is 15 minutes). Express Passes cannot be used at Pteranodon
Flyers, front-row seating for the Incredible Hulk Coaster and
Dueling Dragons coaster at Islands of Adventure, or at Fievel's
Playland Slide or Woody Woodpecker's NutHouse Coaster at Universal
Studios.
