on Over to Bunnyville at the Detroit Zoo
Hop on over to the 14th
annual Easter event, Bunnyville at the Detroit Zoo on March 26th from 10 a.m. to
4 p.m. Bunnyville is filled with lots of fun, treats and live entertainment for
children of all ages.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item, which will be
donated to the Gleaners Community Food Bank of Greater Detroit; last year over
9,000 lbs of food was raised. Guests with donations will receive a reduced
admission price of $4 (parking not included).
The event, sponsored by Noodles & Co., Magic 105.1 and Fox 2 Detroit, is packed
with an array of exciting activities, including performances by "Two of a Kind"
and "Bunny Follies," a live musical "Egg-stravaganza." There will also be
animal enrichment with egg shaped pinatas, costume characters throughout the
park and tasty treats for all to enjoy. Don't forget to make your own art at
the craft station. There's no need to wait in long lines at the mall, pictures
will be available with the Easter Bunny or Mrs. Bunny for $5 each.
Bunnyville Schedule (no extra charge)
"Two of a Kind" - Wildlife Interpretive Gallery Theatre shows at 11:00 a.m.,
1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
"Bunny Follies" - Outdoor Picnic Grove shows at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m.
and 3:30 p.m.
The Detroit Zoological Institute, founded in 1928, is committed to celebrating
and saving wildlife. Situated on 125 acres of naturalistic exhibits, the Zoo is
open Wednesday through Sunday with several indoor viewing areas. The Detroit
Zoo is located at the intersection of Ten Mile Road and Woodward Avenue, just
off I-696 in Royal Oak. Admission is $10.50 for adults 13 to 62; $8.50 for
senior citizens 62 and older and $6.50 for students ages 2 to 12; and children
