Hotel Packages
Complement Ontario Science Centre Experience

June 13, 2005)---The Ontario Science Centre is now offering 14 different
hotel packages that provide accommodation and admission to the Ontario
Science Centre for travelers visiting the Greater Toronto Area. Packages
start at $105.00 CAD (plus taxes) and are available directly through
participating hotels that are listed at
www.OntarioScienceCentre.ca.
Vacationers
can purchase up to four Ontario Science Centre general admission passes,
valid for two adults ages 18-64 and two children ages 4-17, with their
hotel package. Hotel patrons also receive a 20% discount on IMAX®
films at the Shoppers Drug Mart® OMNIMAX® Theatre.
Packages are valid until March 31, 2006, with the exception of December 25
and March Break. (March 11-19, 2005)
“Travelers
visiting the website can plan their vacation with the option of staying at
a luxury or value added accommodation. Each hotel features different
options and amenities,” said Kelly Smith, group sales representative at
the Ontario Science Centre.
There is also
a Summer of Thrills Hotel Package in conjunction with the Crowne Plaza
Toronto Don Valley Hotel that includes an IMAX film, a full breakfast and
parking for $199.00 CAD (plus taxes) for a family of four.

The Summer
of Thrills experience includes the exhibition Scream Machines: The
Science of Roller Coasters, a head-spinning, stomach-churning
exhibition for thrill-seekers of all ages that is highlighted by G-Force,
a modified bicycle designed to pedal up and around a 5-metre loop. Also
included are the two IMAX films Adrenaline Rush: The Science of Risk,
which brings together the thrill of extreme sports, the genius of Leonardo
Da Vinci and the risk-taking found in everyday life, and OceanMen:
Extreme Dive, about two men attempting to set world records in free
diving; the extreme sport of diving without any breathing aids.
Visitors can
also explore two new areas that recently opened as part of the Ontario
Science Centre's $40 million transformation project known as Agents of
Change. The first phase of the Weston Family Innovation Centre is a
“scientific Times Square” that showcases ever-changing content reflecting
current issues in science and technology while KidSpark offers a
learn-through-play space specifically designed for children ages eight and
under.
