Experience ecology in the heart of Montréal! Four natural ecosystems create an environmental museum inside the Biodôme. Rocky landscapes, tumbling waterfalls and majestic trees are home to birds, mammals and fish that fly, climb and swim through their natural habitats: the tropical forest, the Laurentian forest, the Saint-Laurent marine environment and the polar world.

Founded in 1931, the Montréal Botanical Garden is one of the largest of its kind in the world. Explore its ten exhibition greenhouses and some thirty outdoor gardens and you'll be transported by colours and fragrances from the four corners of the earth. Soak up the exotic charms of the Chinese and Japanese gardens. Québec's forest riches. First Nations Garden, and there you can learn about the links between the 11 Amerindian and Inuit nations of Québec and the plant world, past and present.

The Montréal Insectarium located on the grounds of the Montréal Botanical Garden, is home to some mysterious and little-known creatures: the insects of the world!

Pointe-à-Callière, National Historic Site is a major attraction in the historic quarter of Old Montréal. The museum has three main sections: the Éperon building, a modern structure set on the ruins of older buildings; the archaeological crypt in the basement; and the renovated Old Customs House. Self-guided tours let the visitor discover the museum at his own pace. Interpreter-guides are stationed at different points on the tour route and will be happy to answer any questions. Interactive tours at the museum are a unique concept. Our guides are story-tellers who bring the history of the site alive to interest all types of visitors.

Since its opening in 66, the Montréal Planétarium has welcomed several million visitors-children and adults, novice star gazers and professional astronomers. Every season, our Star Theatre presents a new show that explores the most exciting discoveries in astronomy and the sciences of space. The performances alternate in English and French.
